Lynnfield Art, Recreation, and Culture Commission
(LARCC)
Our Story
As Director of Community Engagement for the Lynnfield Art Guild, Heidi Reynolds, with the support of the Art Guild, will be working to unify the art, recreation, and cultural organizations in Lynnfield to create a working group that will collaborate to bring art to the public spaces in Lynnfield, promote the growth and integration of the arts, fostering a vibrant, active, and welcoming creative community; promoting cultural engagement across ages, enlivening our public spaces, and bridging divides through collaborative public art projects.
Goals:

-
Work with the Lynnfield Art Guild, Town Management, and local organizations to assemble a group of individuals to plan, organize, and implement public art programs throughout Lynnfield.

-
Act as a liaison and collaborator to bridge the art, recreation, historical, and educational organizations in Lynnfield.

-
Encourage learning, curiosity, and innovation for our young people through interactive public art projects.

-
Respond to Lynnfield residents’ stated desires in surveys for more “third spaces,” recreation in addition to sports, and a vibrant and inviting town center. (reference MAPC pages 14-15)

-
Activate public spaces to increase community connection. Engage local artists in public art projects. Provide activities and community during library renovation.

-
Help bridge the gap between sports and the arts.
